What services do home care nurses provide?
Regular hours for our Registered Nurses are from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. However, we do have nurses that are available
for service and are on-call seven days a week, 24 hours a day. Our Registered Nurses provide a full-range of skilled
nursing services. Some of those services include: dressing changes, catheter care, colostomy care, diabetic
care, injections, IV therapy, hypertension checks, psychiatric care and drawing blood.
Our Registered Nurses will also make arrangements for our patients to obtain necessary medical supplies, teach patients and
families how to manage illness, and serve as liaisons to provide a vital communication link between physicians and patients.
What if I do not need skilled care, but I need help around my house?
Western Illinois Managed Home Services offers a variety of services that are personalized for the needs of the client. We offer
personalized services for all age groups and offer services anywhere from 1 hour to 24 hour coverage in a home if needed.
No matter what your needs are, we can help you manage at home:
- It is so hard to get out for groceries or other errands and you don't want to bother your children.
- You are feeling great! - It's just that you have a hard time running the sweeper or getting the laundry done.
- You live several miles away from your parents and would like someone to check on them, help prepare meals, or help
escort them to Doctors appointments, the beauty shop, the pharmacy, or outings.
- You are caring for your father or mother and you could use a break, but who can you trust to care for him or her?
- You have a new baby and it would be a comfort to have a nurse visit - just to make sure the baby is fine.
- Full-time job, children, husband, supper, laundry, and the school play - When is there time to clean my house?
